Microneedling causes tiny punctures in the skins’ natural barrier, which helps improve the delivery of topical nutrients. It also stimulates collagen production, and brings blood flow to the scalp and induces new stem cells that support hair growth. It's an excellent, simple and proven way to naturally boost hair growth.
In a 2018 study on the effects of microneedling on patients with mild to moderate alopecia (hair loss), "Result: Hair growth started after the first session. The patients' satisfaction was more than 75% in 18 patients, on patients' subjective hair growth assessment scale. In post-PRP-treated patients of AGA, increase in the number of vellus and total hairs, increased hair shaft diameter, and reduction in yellow dots were appreciated after 3 sessions. Hair pull test was negative after treatment in 14 patients (70%).” *

If you are new to microneedling. Have no fear. It should not cause pain. In fact, all you should notice is a light sting. Your aim is to apply just enough pressure to allow the micro needles to gently puncture your dermis. No need to use Herculean strength. Use light, even pressure with a little sting. No sting, then you probably aren’t applying enough pressure. Pain, too much pressure.
First, wet the hair down to create a flat surface, and start by rolling in ONE DIRECTION to avoid getting hair caught in the roller. Then roll in the opposite direction making sure to apply light pressure. Do not go back and forth. Move in one direction, lift then roll again. Do this quite a few times before going in the other direction, (10-20 depending upon the size of the area). Finally, roll diagonally. Always lifting, never rolling back. Remember, you want to feel a little sting, but no pain. Apply topical sprays before or after. We generally apply after.
We recommend taking photos to document your progress and growth.
